Still becoming
I am but still I am
Dear future me, I hope you remember the girl who wrote this. I hope you remember how many dreams she carried quietly. I hope you remember the nights she wondered whether she was good enough and the mornings she decided to try anyway. I hope you remember the people who believed in her before she learned how to believe completely in herself. Most importantly, I hope you never become too busy to appreciate how far she brought you.
If you have achieved the dreams we once whispered about, be grateful. If you have not, be patient. Do not punish yourself for taking longer than expected. Life is not a timetable written by other people. Maybe the road changed because you were meant to discover something you could not see from the beginning.
And if you ever become successful, remember kindness. Remember the girl who wanted her words to make someone smile again. Remember that achievement means little if you lose your humanity along the way. Keep your heart soft. Keep your faith close. Keep laughing. Keep helping. Keep dreaming. And whenever life becomes complicated, look at the sky and remember: you survived every version of yourself that once believed she could not make it this far.
